The Vision of the Terrigal Christian Israelite Church
“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
1 Thessalonians 5:23
WE BELIEVE
(Genesis 1:1, 1 John 5:7, John 4:24)
Jesus Christ the “only begotten Son” of God is the Messiah that was foretold in the Old Testament
(Isaiah 7:14, John 3:16, 4:25-26)
In the Holy Ghost, who has been sent by God to be a Comforter and Teacher for those who believe
(John 14:26, 1 John 5:7)
In the existence of Satan, the Devil, in whom God allowed iniquity to be placed
(James 2:19; Ezekiel 28:14-15)
That God created a spiritual existence in which the Devil manifested evil and caused some of the spirits to rebel against God
(Isaiah 14:12-14; Jude 6)
That God created our physical world, to which each person comes with a body and a soul made alive by a spirit from the spiritual creation
(Luke 9:55; Genesis 2:7, Jeremiah 1:5)
That God gave His people instructions on the way they should live, which instructions were ‘for their good always’
(Deuteronomy 6:24)
That all have sinned and come ‘short of the glory of God’
(Romans 3:23; 2 Corinthians 5:19)
That God has reconciled the whole world to Himself through the sacrifice of Jesus
(John 3:16,17)
That through belief in the sacrifice of Jesus, the Messiah, believers are counted as righteous before God, and can be assured of the resurrection of their souls as a spiritual body at Jesus’ return (1 Timothy 4:10; 1 Corinthians 15:44, 1 Peter 1:9)
That Jesus Christ will return to this earth again, subdue the power of Satan and reign forever and ever
(Revelation 19 and 20)
That the time of the return of Jesus as described in the gospels is at hand
(Matthew 24; Mark 13 and Luke 21)
That throughout the Scriptures there are promises given for Israel, a people chosen by God, that will be fulfilled in the “latter days”
(Deut 4:30-31, Hosea 3:5, 1 Peter 2:9)
That although the original Israel were unable to be made righteous by the law and were blinded to their true Messiah Jesus Christ, in these latter days a new covenant will be made with a remnant of Israel’s descendants called to receive these promises (Romans 11:7; Romans 8:29-30; Revelation 7:1-8)
That this remnant of Israel will be called to “press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus”. Having the law written in their hearts and minds God will justify them through faith made perfect by works
(Philippians 3:14; Jeremiah 31:31-33; James 2:22-24)
That just as Jesus Christ was glorified in his physical body, a remnant of Israel will receive the same at his return, Jesus being the firstborn among many brethren. A greater work will be done by changing their vile body to subdue the evil curse pronounced on mankind in the fall; as this mortal will then put on immortality, death will be swallowed up in victory.
(Romans 8:29; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; John 14:12; Philippians 3:21; 1 Cor 15:54)
