We have now finished our time on the YWAM medical ship; we had our last celebration dinner and said goodbye to many friends as we left Sunday morning. It was truly a blessing from God the time we had in Papua New Guinea and the people and friends that we met. We had a stop over in the Philippines on our way to Thailand and caught up with a physio friend of Angela’s. It was lovely to catch up with her and it seemed rather amazing that we were able to discuss our trip as she herself is interested in missions. We arrived in Chiang Rai on Monday night and had a few rest days to recover before heading to Sangpratheep Christian School on Thursday.

We caught a local bus from Chiang Rai that dropped us off just outside the school where we were met by Marvin who is a long term missionary from Hong Kong and the deputy directer Ton. We have been very spoilt with a nice self contained room and cooking area. It has been nice to unpack and settle in and start planning our lessons. We have also been able to see the kids again that are boarding here at the school. Over the next three months we will be teaching grades 7-9 and a lot of the boarding kids will be in our classes which we are looking forward to. It is quite special to be able to return here and reunite with so many people. The biggest challenge is the Thai language which we are trying our best to improve on.
